British MotoGP is set to be staged in a village and civil parish in Northamptonshire, England called Silverstone on 4 August.
What to know about the British MotoGP
Established in 1977, it was the first motorcycle Grand Prix to be held on the British mainland, and it took place at the Silverstone Circuit.
The event is also known as the Monster Energy British Grand Prix due to sponsorship reasons and the 2020 race was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The German MotoGP which was the ninth round of the 2024 MotoGP World Championship calendar took place on 7 July.
The race was won by Francesco Bagnaia who was followed by his Ducati teammates Marc Marquez and Alex Marquez who finished second and third respectively.
Standings
Bagnaia is placed at the top of the 2024 MotoGP riders' standings followed by Jorge Martin of Ducati and Marquez respectively.
Looking at the constructors' standings, Ducati are placed at the top - followed by Aprilia and KTM respectively as the battle for the 2024 championship continues.
Favourites
Bagnaia, Martin and Marc Marquez will be the favourites to win the British MotoGP due to their good form in the last few weeks.
However, Aprilia's Aleix Espargaró, who has won last year's British MotoGP is another rider to keep an eye on at the Silverstone Circuit.

“Honestly, I didn’t think I had the pace to be so close to the front; our goal was the top seven," Alex Marquez, who is placed 10th on the riders' standings, said after finishing third at the 2024 German MotoGP.
"But then I felt fully comfortable in the race and I pushed to the limit. The battle with [Franco] Morbidelli was a great one and then, in the final stages, I didn’t have enough left to fend off Marc’s return.
"Jorge’s crash allowed me to get on the podium and the joy is immense.”
